East Lothian with over 33 miles (53 klms) of coastline there are many places that offer water Activities. All the activities are available for the individual or in a group. There on activities on the water in the water or over the water. As there are many good golden sand beaches in East Lothian it a great place for families and there are safe beaches for the very young and plenty for the teenagers.

Wakeboarding on Water

This is for all ages all equipment provided in a controlled loch with safety crew always close by its a great place to learn how to wakeboard or for the experienced boarders fly the jumps and thrill yourself at speed. Pulled over the water with a zip wire you'll get the thrills like being behind a speed boat on the sea.

Surfing

Learn to surf all equipment provided wetsuits and boards Learn to surf on the surfskate before you go on the water. Also for the experienced surfers we have hard boards available.

Age Limit: Must be over 7 years old and able to swim.

What you require: Swim wear a towel and sun protection (yes we get sun in Scotland).
If you require medication or have  a health problem or disability, please ensure that you notify instructors in advance.

 

Sea Cliff Jumping

Seen it in the movies man stands on a cliff 100s of feet from the sea and swan dives off off the cliff with a perfect entry to the water. NO that's not what this is.  You will be taken to an area on the coast fully equipped with all the safety equipment you require to Jump of a cliff into the sea. Safety team always present.

 

Kayaking

Like to go out on the River Forth in a Kayak? Hire it with with a buoyancy aid, helmet, paddles, 6 litre dry bag and a  shorty wetsuits are also available to hire. Equipment delivered to you at the beach.

Snorkelling 

Go out and look at the sea life around the coast or islands all that is required is a wet suit mask and Snorkel. 

Go on an organised coastal open water snorkel, explore the sea rock pools and al the underwater wildlife. Swim around the coast and explore caves and snorkel in clearwater.

 

Fishing

There are great place to fish all over East Lothian either on the sea or Fisheries. For trout fishing Markle Fisheries is the place to go. On this site for over twelve years with anglers coming from all over the world. East Lothian Angling Association run the Tyne, 30 miles in length and has a good stock of wild trout, and is now managed exclusively as a wild trout fishery. Permits required.

 

Fishing Boat Charters

Come along as a group or individual. With the knowledge of the skippers years at sea he will help you catch that memorable fish. The trip will last up to 6 hours or other times on request. Bait available own fishing gear.

There are roads and reals available for hire but best to bring your own.  

 

Assault Course over Water

You seen the rope courses in the trees and the courses on the TV shows  on the water. Now is you chance to try it out. The rope assault course is positioned at a safe height over still water so if or when you fall off there is no damage you'll just get wet. All equipment is provided and safety teams are always close by. Come with your friends or i a group and have a competition to see who is the quickest over the course.

 

Ringo Ride

Seen it or done it on Holiday abroad, now do it in a safe place at high speed just like on the sea in Spain, Turkey etc. The inflatable ring pulled over the water with the same excitement of being in the sea.

 

Open Water Swimming

This open water swim course is in a controlled environment with safety swimmers and rescue team always close by. If you just want to test yourself,  come with a friend or in a group. 

 

Swimming Pools

More than a swimming pool, this pool has something for all the family,  a wave machine, water jets and for the ore daring a flume. For the younger children there are water characters to play on or just swim.
